Most musical historians call nineteenth-century Italian Niccolo Paganini the most innovative violinist of all time. Due to his long fingers, Paganini was able to play three octaves across four strings in a hand span, a feat few, if any, have done before or since. He could break three of his violin strings and finish playing the piece on the remaining one. But Mr Skin has to argue the comparative merits of fake movie violin player Nicola Rockhill, who plays topless in the middle of an orgiastic ritual in the British horror flick Chemical Wedding (2008). As he watches, transfixed, Nicola’s gleaming gazongas heaving up and down under her frantically sawing bow hand, even renowned patron of the arts Giovanni Ludwig von Skin was said to have muttered, “Paganini who?”
